Energy Transmission Line Poles

As of 2005, PROTON ENERJİ has started to manufacture 34.5 – 154 and 380 kv power transmission line poles, Salt Field and Transformer Substations in accordance with TEİAŞ and TEDAŞ specifications.

Substations (also known as switchyards), which are located at the point of transfer of electrical energy from generation to the transmission system (interconnected system) and at the connection point from the transmission system to the distribution network, are vital facilities in terms of “electrical energy supply reliability”, which is the symbol of development. In order to reduce losses in the “journey” of electricity from the point of generation to the point of consumption, the voltage, which is one of the two main parameters of electricity (the other is current), is first raised at the Step Up Substations and then lowered at the Step Down Substations (TSC).

“In addition, the poles of 33 – 125 – 220 and 400 kv Energy Transmission Lines used abroad are also manufactured by making new design work.”

While the voltage levels at the generation point are at 0.4kV, 3.1kV, 6.3kV and 10.5kV, they are transported to remote points by 154kV and 380kV energy transmission lines (ENH) and transmitted to the regional electricity distribution companies (EDAŞs) by TEİAŞ and the distribution network starts at 36kV. These facilities, which are established at these points where generation is switched from generation to transmission and from transmission to distribution system, and where switching (on-off) is performed, are called “Substation”.
